In a bid to meet the Millenium Development Goals (MDG's) numbers one, three, five and eight, Tanzanian women entrepreneurs are holding an exhibition for their products and services to grow the largest women's trade fair in the country.
According to a press statement, the exhibition is organised by a two-year-old non-governmental organisation called Tanzania Women Entrepreneurs Network and Development Exposition (TWENDE).

The three-day trade fair at the Mnazi Mmoja grounds in Dar-es Salaam calls for eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, promotion of gender equality, improvement of maternal health and women empowerment found in the MDG's numbers one, three, five and eight.

The exhibition that started on September 15 ends on September 17.

"We expect more participants in this year's event as a way of networking, enterprising and empowering the women and their business, taking it to a renewed height both nationally and internationally," Gloria Mongella Project Manager of TWENDE said.

"We kindly request various financial institutions, developmental and gender based organizations, to support TWENDE, so as to reach the intended Millennium goals," Hamis Omary TWENDE Marketing Manager said.

According to the press statement, TWENDE's vision is to increase women's capacity in businesses and market share.

Founded by Tanzania's entrepreneur Mustafa Hassanali, the exhibition is displaying women's products and services and there are seminars to give women entrepreneurs the tricks of the trade for success.
